Vodafone SpeedModem 200

Hallo,
I will speak English because my German is really bad.
I just got installed a vodafone Speedmodem 200 at my flat and the technician has made the connection today. I got green lights on the modem but I still can't get any connection with this modem. The line seems not to answer as I receive no data packet back. Is this normal? Should I wait a little bit or should I phone the hotline? Is there any other action I should do other than plug the cables (I'm running Vista and I tried to install manually the PPPoE drivers but I was conformed that they are already installed so this is not a problem)
